Event Introduction
Stress is not an enemy but an ancient evolutionary mechanism that helps us mobilize. However, when stress becomes chronic, the very same response starts to wear the body down — leading to insomnia, weakened immunity, cognitive decline, and emotional exhaustion.
In this lecture, molecular biologist Taisiya Mayorova explores how the stress response unfolds from a biological perspective, what happens to our brain and body during prolonged stress, and (most importantly) what practical, evidence-based strategies can help us cope, grounded in the real workings of our nervous system.
