Alumni After Hours: Networking, Stories, and Unexpected Connections

Event Introduction

Careers rarely follow a straight path. Quite often, the most meaningful opportunities begin with an unexpected conversation, a side project, or a chance encounter.

Join us for an interactive alumni networking event built around real career stories and genuine exchange!

We’ll begin with a few short stories about surprising professional twists, and participants will be invited to guess what happened before the full story is revealed. After that, we’ll move into small-group networking conversations, where everyone will be actively involved –– sharing, listening, asking questions, and connecting with others.

This is a space for those who want to meet people from different fields, ask for advice, offer help, and make useful connections - not sit through a lecture.

To make the conversation more useful, please come prepared to think about:

  • who you would especially like to meet;

  • what kind of support or advice would help you this summer;

  • what you can offer to others in the community; and

  • what project, idea, or goal you’d be happy to discuss.

Come curious, ready to talk, and leave with new ideas and new contacts!
